ARE YOU IN PAIN?
Our experience has shown us that many business owners are in pain. Are you? Consider the following:
1) ACUTE PAIN: The business owner is in crisis. He/she is unable to keep up with the demands of the business: Billing and collections are behind; phone calls aren't being answered in a timely manner; opportunities are being missed, evenings and weekends are being lost to record keeping and paperwork; they can't keep up with the workload and they feel it's all falling apart. He/she knows this is a crisis and is looking for help.
- This is like the person who awakes suddenly to realize they are acutely ill. If they go to their doctor or health practitioner, there's a very good chance the ailment will be cured quickly.
- Let Daybreak cure the ailment! This is the type of business we can genuinely help to get beyond this phase and back to health. The key is that the business owner acknowledges the problem and is willing to work with us on a solution.
2) CHRONIC PAIN: The owner has been in business for many years and has developed some bad habits. Rather than viewing the business as a means to support their lifestyle, they have come to view it AS their lifestyle. They acknowledge that they've lost their evenings and weekends; they've lost their passion, and they've lost their perspective. The may identify that this is not what they originally intended when they started the business years ago, but they feel it's the price they have to pay to be successful and profitable. The most common quote is: "I'm a one-man operation. I've always worked alone and I don't need any help."
- This is like the middle-aged person who has developed bad health habits over the years. They acknowledge chronic low back pain, or windedness, etc, but don't pursue treatment because "This is part of the aging process I'll just have to live with it." The reality is that, in most cases, a change in lifestyle can dramatically improve the chronic conditions and lead to a much better lifestyle. The biggest difficulty is getting the person to acknowledge the problem and seek a means to fix it.
- Daybreak can cure this ailment if the business owner is willing to work with us. In our experience, however, we find that this is the most difficult client to bring on-board because the change in patterning is just too difficult and threatening. We hope you'll consider speaking to us because we know we can help you. At the very least, let us discuss some ideas with you.
3) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE: This is the person who is just starting out in business. They may have little business experience, but they have the energy, passion and skill to do the job. They recognize their shortcomings and are anxious to make certain they create a solid foundation. The most common quote is "I love what I do, but I really don't know how to go about the basics of business, such as marketing, required paperwork, bookkeeping, etc. I really want to develop a good reputation early-on so I don't want to miss phone calls or leave my customers hanging. And I certainly want to make money in the process can you help me?"
- This is like the young person who decides to start a life-long regimen of preventive care with regular checkups, exercise, nutrition, etc. to prevent problems later on.
- Daybreak loves this kind of client.
